Trip Prep.

So, I'll admit it. I should have taken care of the cell phone issue earlier, and yet I am still going to call at&t my technological nemesis. I bought a phone from them that 2 stores assured me would work in Costa Rica. What they failed to tell me was that you have to use it for 6 months before you're eligible to be unlocked. I found this out after 2 hours with an unhelpful customer service representative who didn't seem to have the authority to actually tell me anything without putting me on hold to go check with a manager. Oh yeah, and they disconnected me twice so that I had to go through the automated call center twice. And no they didn't have my problem listed as an option. So I just pushed 0 until it connected me to a person again.
On the bright side, I have now officially gotten my pre-trip stress meltdown over with and I am moving back toward productivity. I am going to go get it adjusted at a cell repair shop, hopefully. As soon as I called their network went down. Apparently I can now disrupt technology at a distance! Yay new super powers. 
I had hoped to have a more positive first post, but que sera! Haha, well at least I'll soon be off to Costa Rica and Pura Vida!
